Mainly distributed throughout the subzones of: Raimat (where the varieties of chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon predominate) and to a much lesser extent in Garrigues.

Due to its spring bud burst this is the first variety that is harvested in the subzone of Raimat.

It is the white grape variety that takes up the largest surface area within the Costers del Segre D.O.
