Casa Patau is a small, family winery at Menàrguens, in the county of La Noguera, between Lleida and Balaguer. It belongs to the Costers del Segre Designation of Origin, in the Artesa de Segre sub-zone.
It has made wines from its own vines since 2001, following a traditional, environmentally-friendly process, without applying herbicides or chemical fertilisers. The grapes are grown with all the agricultural practices necessary for achieving the best quality harvest: green pruning, hand-picking...
The care taken throughout this process plus the properties of the soil, with a continental climate, strong sunshine with a wide temperature range, cold winters and hot summers, means high-quality wines are obtained.
The Casa Patau winery currently has a capacity of 1155Hl, with a heated/cooled ageing room with French Allier oak barrels.
The winery is open to the public every Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
